I have received what is, apparently, a duplicate of a letter from you to me, No. Nanking 62(1/1166/46) dated ..... August, enclosing a memorandum by Hazlerigg on the alleged right of Chinese to enter Hong Kong.

I am sure that our lawyers will be interested to see this memorandum, and it will be most useful for future reference purposes. I am arranging for a copy to go to the Legal Advisers of the Foreign Office, as you suggest.
